Themes related to identity, justice (equity/ power), and survival heavily influence my work as does the idea of finding connectedness between my mixed ancestral past and present societal issues, and women’s movements in society and the arts and how all that relates to everything I’ve learned about as ‘good’. Like trying to work with traditional ideas of ‘goodness’ and rebellion against that in singular compositions.
